In 2005 The Irish Lebanese Cultural Foundation had organised a Heroes welcome in Lebanon for the Irish Veterans with Army brass band and guard of honour in the Museum district of Beirut.The Parade took place and ended by laying wreaths at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier. The parade was followed by a Cocktail reception at the Army officers Club in Yarze.
