The war on Lebanon in July 2006 took us all by surprise. Neither were we ready nor prepared to assume a role like the one we took.We campaigned to aid the Irish Red Cross to collect as much as we could for Lebanon .Many concerts and cultural and fundraising events took place to aid Lebanon.The consolidation with the people of Lebanon was expressed by all our
Friends in Ireland .With the help of our friends we sent two containers of Medical supplies and clothing and 43 Hospital beds .We worked closely with the Higher Relief Commission a Governmental body responsible for the distribution and receipt of Aid to Lebanon.We requested that the Hospital beds would be at the disposal of the Ministry of Health to assign them to a Hospital in the South of Lebanon
