The Secretary General of the World Lebanese Cultural Union and upon a request made by the ILCF has awarded Mr Dermot Ahern Minister of Foreign Affairs the Emigrant’s Platinum Award for the gigantic efforts made to repatriate Lebanese and Irish Families from during during Lebanon’s ordeal in 2006.
The expression of gratitude to the efforts exerted and the welcome they received in Dubai before taking the flight back to Ireland was commended by all affected.
The chairman of the Foundation presented the Award on the 12th of July 2007 at His Excellency’s Office in Iveagh House in Dublin.
